In early January 2022, Colin Wilson from Pryde Contracting started the repair work on the big slip that damaged a farm track as well as the walkway. The early November storm 2021 hit Mahia with a regular and gentle rain during 5 days. Pongaroa Stations’ gage indicated 500 mm of rain during that event.
